It's like the desert

Really, I feel like I have been in the desert for the last week with no water. Since the move, we have had no internet or TV! It doesn't sound that bad, but try it sometime!!!! I didn't mind the lack of TV until I realized I was missing American Idol, but internet on the other hand has been killing me!

So today after many failed attempts and poor customer service, we are once again connected! I think I could spend all day going through everyone's blog updates, but the unpacked boxes and general chaos are calling my name.

I will update more later. Just know that we are moved in, and everyone is doing well now. I came up with a new theory on moving. Moving is like childbirth. It is so traumatic that your mind blocks out exactly how awful it really is. . . and that is the only reason you are willing to do it over again! Ponder that women.

My Funny Charlie

For those of you keeping track, we still have the flu but hopefully on the mend.

Charlie is starting to come out of his sickly trance and feeling better. I know this because he once again wants to wear his shoes. Normally he insists on wearing his shoes all day long. I was happy tonight when he grunted and whined until we put his shoes on over his footed PJ's. He is such a funny little guy.

Footed PJ's and shoes, nice look Charlie!

Once Abby realized I had the camera out to take pictures of Charlie, she wanted to smile. Stinker! (Notice Charlie admiring his shoes!)

Awwww look, she really does love him!

HELP!

The house we are moving into is one color. Any of you that have been to my current house know I love love love to decorate with different colors. I often reference the movie Fools Rush In and say, "My people love color!"

Back to the new house. It was built as a spec home, so I picked out a very nice neutral color, and it is wall to ceiling. http://sherlink.sherwin.com RAMIE

Because we don't plan on living in this house forever we don't want to put too much into it, but Carlos has agreed to paint the dining room. I am a little stumped.

My last dining room was Red Bay. So I don't want another red dining.

I am thinking maybe blue. Loyal Blue to be exact. Has anyone else seen a dining room they loved recently? The room has really beautiful trim white trim 1/3 the day up the all with judges panels. Any other ideas or suggestions? I've gotta decide tomorrow. Any input to would great!

Happy V Day

Despite the entire family being sick with the flu (after 6 days of sickness and fever I have decided it's the flu,) we managed to have a nice Valentines day. The kids and I stayed in our jammies until noon. Carlos came home for lunch with these lovlies!

He even let me know he ordered them in advance, and that's why they looked so good. Good job Carlos, you must really love me!

I am a sucker for these little quizes, so if you have 2 minutes take it yourself!

Love you all on this day of love!

Happy Birthday Rob!

Today is my big brother's (my only brother's) birthday. Happy birthday big guy! Hope you have a wonderful day. And once again congratulations on your big news! You and Melanie are going to be GREAT parents!!!!!

We are sick

Sorry there has been such a lack of new postings. The kids started off a little under the weather, and like any good family that teaches the need to share. . . Carlos and I now have raging colds.

Stay tuned, we should have posts on Valentines Day, the BIG MOVE, painting, and getting settled in the "green house."
