My little fish. . . kindof

For the last two weeks Abby has been attending swimming lessons. I thought it would be a good way to let her get more confident in the water. Before the lessons it was hard to coerce her off the steps. The first week of lessons she cried the entire time we got her ready for lessons, the car ride over, and the entire 30 min lesson. I suspect Miss Tiler has had unhappy students like Abby in the past, because she ignored every tear and would just dunk her in the water!

As we started the second week the sobs and tears were not quite so severe, but present. The last two days of lessons I think she finally started having fun. She learned to pull herself out of the pool (handy for when she accidentally falls into the pool,) to kick, to scoop water, to blow bubbles and to go under water.

This weekend we went over to Aunt Claudia and Uncle Jared's house. If I knew then what I know now, I would have skipped the lessons and thrown Abby in the pool with Uncle Jared. Within 10 minutes he had her swimming to him from 6-10 feel away. I was amazed!

Notice Abby negotiating with the teacher. Then her cute friend tries to reassure her that it is fun. Miss Tiler finally gets tired of Abby's antics and ends up pulling her into the pool. Classic Abby!

Can't help it!

I just cannot resist sharing this photo of Charlie. Isn't he the cutest ever???

Big Boy Haircut!

Carlos decided it was time to give Charlie a military haircut. When I agreed to let him do it, I was assured that it was just going to be a trim. By the time I realized what was going on, all the curls were all ready gone. :(

As sad as I am about the curls being gone, I have to admit he does look rather handsome! It's a great haircut.

Da Beach

The Glade Family (actually the Bagley, Glade, Gonzalez and Sullivan Families) spent a wonderful week and the beach. We all met down in Destin Florida and rented a beach house together. The weather could not have been better, and it was so so so so so fun to be with family!

Here we all are on Grandma Sandy's birthday.

The Gonzalez's looking nice and tan. I could not believe how quickly my kids browed right up! Really should not be a shocker, but it still was!

Katie, Becky and me. . . can you tell we are sisters?

What a cutie!

Grandpa Tom

Our house had a pool, so when the beach got to dirty and sandy, we had a great outdoor alternative! Nice hat Becky!

As long and ducky was nearby, Abby enjoyed the pool.

The last day of the trip we gave in, and took Abby to ride the train that drove around the shopping mall. THRILLING! But Abby liked it!

It was so hard to leave, and I am already missing my sisters!
