Halloween Part 2

Halloween was so huge this year that two posts are necessary to cover all the events.

After naps on Wednesday we decorated our pumpkins. Abby did not like how squishy the insides were!



Then my little artist really got involved with the design. We made a mad and a happy face.



Here is Snow White with the happy face. Of course she refused to smile and look at me at the same time!


I tried to get a nice photos of Abby and Charlie together, but of course Abby would not cooperate!


Isn't that the cutest bear you have ever seen?!


We went to the greatest Halloween party ever that night. Great food, crafts and movies for the kids, a huge fire pit, and the greatest treats! Thank you so much to the Meadows and the Duravics!


After partying and trick or treating Abby was BEAT!


And of course Charlie was still pleasant!


And this is the day after when Charlie got a hold of a package of M&M's


Just like his mom, he is a huge chocolate fan!!!

Halloween Part 1

Happy Halloween! I am finally posting some pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes. Here are a few from Abby's party at school yesterday.


She goes to a Methodist Preschool. Here they are blessing their snacks! They had a little song prayer. . . it was cute. Abby looks real into it. . . right?!

Here are the girls playing. Abby is quite popular in her class. All the parents were telling me how their kids talk about Abby Grace at home!! Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing!


These are from this morning while we were getting ready to go downtown for trick or treating on the square.









These are when we FINALLY made it downtown to trick or treat. We met up with our friends Ashlee and Noelle.



Noelle is about a month younger than Charlie (and a good 4 inches taller!)

This is the first Halloween without our bestest pal Mikayla. :( WE MISS YOU!

My Abby is quite the artist. If you have spent any time with her in the last 2 years you know she always has a crayon or marker in her hand. All her doodles have finally paid off! She drew her first recognizable picture. It is of her little brother. I have gone ahead and labeled the different body parts if you are having trouble distinguishing the anatomy (I only know because I asked!)

Just because they are so cute!

Abby was hanging out with Carlos as he was doing yard work. When I checked on them I found Abby on the lawn tractor. I ran to get my camera, and the rest of the photos followed!









Since we were already outside, and it was a beautiful day, we decided to snap some more.

Potty Training

Recently my friend Libby wrote about how she potty trained her daughter in a day. Sadly my efforts with Miss Abby have not gone so well. A couple of months ago we were doing really well with very few mistakes. But for some reason we have completely back slid! She refuses to use the potty entirely. We have tried bribes, praise, rewards, promises of dairy queen, taking away her prized pink blankies, and even punishment. NOTHING!!!!!!

Today I asked her why she didn't like the potty. Her reply was, "I am too little. I am only 2." I said, "Oh really, how old are you going to be when you use the potty." Her reply was, "ummmm, when I am 86." I could not help but laugh. I laughed even harder when Carlos pointed out at 86 is when she will need to wear diapers once again!

That Moment

Yesterday I had one of those moments when I realized the world is exactly right. One of those moments of pure joy. I was watching our 10 month old Charlie (who cannot walk on his own quite yet) pushing his 2.5 year old sister in the wagon. I was smiling so big that my cheek's hurt.
